It was originally developed to produce films for the aviation industry. Nowadays, the company produces a wide range of appearance protection products for automobiles , aviation, swimming pools, granite countertops, and even eyeglasses. The formulas of Xzilon films are unique, which means that no other form of paint protection can compare to them. Xzilon Paint Protection Film Xzilon paint protection stands out among other brands that offer similar films due to the exceptional quality and versatility of the products offered by the company.
Preventing the damage from sun radiation is one of the most important reasons that explain why installing this kind of film is a worthy investment. Ultraviolet rays will make the paint fade and crack, making it more vulnerable to the damage from debris and stray stones.
Acid rain. Unfortunately, environmental pollution corrupted the atmosphere to the point where rains turned into a real hazard. No rainfall today is completely clean, so it will definitely affect your paintwork to some extent. May 26th, , PM 7. Originally Posted by tim I have had the car about 4 months. But if you're not worried about the warranty, then may as well just go for it! Originally Posted by Blueline. I own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready. May 26th, , PM 9. Re: how to care for car with xzilon applied For me, if a pure wax is what you're after you can go Deep Crystal Caranauba wax or Hi-tech yellow wax. If you get swirl marks, you may need to re-buff the car or area where you got the swirls.

Are they not putting Xzilon on properly, is the product being used defective or is the product just junk? So far I am not seeing the benefit to using Zxilon. Maybe the third application will work!! This may well be a good product. The idiot that the dealership paid to apply Xzilon to my brand new car apparently used a steel wool pad. Swirl marks, water spots, holograms….
Never ever let a dealer apply this, or anything for that matter, to your car. I just bought a Nissan Rogue. Your thoughts? This product is not worth the paper it is written on. After 2 years I had a small claim and it was rejected within an hour after it was filed.
Absolute oversold overpriced rubbish. Shame on the dealers who push it. Not a single one of the claims is justified. Bugs stick like always as do bird droppings. Just say NO. I purchased a new car from the Tucson Subaru Dealership and purchased this xzilon coating. When a sprinkler system covered by new car in hard water, I took it to the dealership to fix and reapply the coating, as was covered in the contract.
The dealership failed to remove the spots and now is talking about having my insurance covering the cost. I do not believe this coating was worth the money, nor does your company cover the expenses when forced to uphold the contracts they sell.
I will never purchase another Subaru and will never waste my money on this coating. I highly recommend others to do the same. After nearly two years, I have mixed feelings about the benefit versus the cost.
I do think the benefits are oversold. My experience is that Zyilon does not protect against dings, scratches or road debris. Unfortunately, we were driving through Wyoming and Nebraska during a snow storm this past February. They use a coarse product on the roads. As we drove through the state, our car was peppered with this product for 12 hours.
The front of the car and most of the leading edges were badly damaged including the windshield and headlights. The car was recently repaired and the paint has cured. I take the car to the dealership tomorrow for the Zyilon to be reapplied at no cost. It will not protect your car from damage whether basic every day stuff or more extreme situations like ours. I have not experienced the problem with bird droppings or water spots others have mentioned. And when the car is cleaned it looks great.
My take is that the product is only as good as the time and care taken to apply it. Unless they cut the price in half, I will not purchase Zyilon for our next car. The front of the car is the most exposed and takes the brunt of potential damage from bugs, rocks, etc. I will have a clear bra installed on the leading edges instead of a full body coating of Zyilon. If you have that much trouble with bird crap……find another place to park.
I would like to respond to this comment. I am also a Detailer at a Subaru Dealership. The Xzilon if put on the right way really does work. I have pride in what i do as a detailer.
I bought my car at the same dealership and i treat every car as if it was my own. If it was my car i want what i pay for. I only get paid. I also advise the customer to keep the windows down because it takes about an hour after the process for the fabric to dry. I never skip steps because i always make hours up by staying longer. I have been complemented by my GM and all managers for being good at what i do. I take care of my customers as if a i was the owner.
If you want to see the process done just ask. I welcome and encourage car buyers to watch the treatment process and see how your vehicle is done.
Its your car so you have the right to watch….. Not all detailers are cons…A lot of are professionals and look after our customers… Garcia Subaru and Cadillac Albuquerque NM where we pride our work and take care of our customers…LH.
I would like to buy a case of this product how can I do that that and how much the cost my cell is thanks…. That is the most informative review I have ever read. I appreciate the honesty, you have made my decision a no brainer. The car looked good for awhile, but the water marks and spots starting showing up and it looks terrible.
I tried to make a claim but got a hard time and wanted Pictures. The car is Black, come on, the sun or light reflects the color and you cannot see the spots from a picture. No Pictures, no claim! Also, I was told get the vehicle detailed, and then contact them.
Keep it waxed! Waste of Money! I purchased a Honda Accord in late December. I go out of town last weekend and when I returned on Monday to pick up my car from the secured parking lot, birds had dive bombed my car and all the cars around it. It was horrible. I immediately took it to the car wash and spent 90 minutes trying in vein to get the bird poo off the pain.
I paid the dealership the extra money to apply the Xzilon at the time of purchase. I closely followed the instructions given me at the outset to wait a certain amount of time before washing and I did. Well, this product is crap. Well, I can tell you that this is a lie based on my experience. People should avoid this product and Honda should be ashamed of itself for selling a product that is basically a lie. Xzylon is garbage! Its a wax and wax is dead! Im a professional detailer and know all about these products.
They are a joke and dont last more than 3 months. Roll a candle down a hot driveway and see what it picks up! When heated everything sticks to it. My sealants I put on a detail normally are better than this crap! Stay away and dont waste your money. Find an authorized Ceramic Pro installer and get what you are paying for!
Check out fivestardetail. A wash mitt with a good car wash doap. Not dish soap. If you stand naked in the rain, you will not come clean.
You might have less heavy dirt on you. But you will not be clean. You spent 50 grand on a Volvo. Wash it. No wax, polymer, or high end finish like xzylon will prevent scratches. We had the product put on our new Volvo S80 by the dealer. I cannot just wash this car at the wand wash car wash place at home? After it dries all of the dirt is still covering the entire car?
I complained to the car wash, they say they are not doing anything different. My Ford Escape comes out spotless. I have to get out a pail of warm water and completely hand wash the Volvo to remove the film of scum left after every wash job. Not too happy. In the sun the Volvo still shows swirls ,tiny scratches and a foggy film on the side windows that I cannot get off?
I feel like I have a 70k new wrecked car. Reading through this board, I can note some valid points of concern, I can also note many discrepencies. Please note that the warranty that is provided at the dealer is very clear on what is and what is not covered. NO matter what the finance person states, all customers should have that to reference. Also the picture on this web site is of the Xzilon car wash soap, not of the protectant that Is applied on the exterior and Interior of the cars.
Xzilon has many different products we offer in the industry. We have been manufacturing products for the auto industry since When Xzilon is applied at the dealer — It works great. When Xzilon is applied correctly — It works great When a customer understands the warranty — It is beneficial for all parties, there is a signature on the warranty that states they do understand it.
However many do not have the time to read all the paperwork given, but at least go home and read what you purchased. Xzilon does have a claims process, we do require pictures. If Pictures are not submitted the claim wont move forward. The pictures are what helps us determine and communicate with our repair techs what the damage is. After about 4 month I noticed a small dent and paint chip just behind the door so I submitted a claim.
I kept checking the website to see the progress of the claim and all it said was assigned. I thought I was paying for a warranty that repaired the dents. Apparently it has to be the right kind of dent and in a certain location. To anyone that is thinking of buying this product for the warranty read the fine print.
The dealer is quick to say they will fix hail damage, door dings and other minor issue but never mention that dents in specific locations are not covered. I would not recommend this product. We also had a similar coating not Xzilon put on our new Tundra which we bought in Jan of I can tell you that the Xzilon coating did actually do something to protect the shine and protect the paint from bird droppings, bug splatter, road tar and pine sap on the MDX.
There were no surface scratches or spider web scratches that could be seen. The dealership that applied the Xzilon, got good coverage on the entire vehicle except the roof, which in my opinion is where it needs it the most.
After washing the vehicle, I could see a very distinct line where the coverage was missed, up until we traded it off. As for protecting the paint on the MDX from scratches and dents, I would say it definitely helped, but keep in mind, this is not an invisible titanium coating.
As for the water spots previous posters were talking about, you have to dry the vehicle after washing, and go around it for a while after you think you are done, just to get the hidden drops that tend to run down the vehicle. The spots that you get after washing and letting air dry, are from the contaminants in your water, not from the coating.
If you want a spot free rinse, you have to use filtered water. As for the spots after a rain…. The business manager at Folsom Lake R. The jelcoat finish on the exterior of the trailer feels like there is nothing on it.
